Open and closed doors at Spirita
Spirita residents living in Rushcliffe are benefitting from a refurbishment programme to upgrade doors in over 800 properties and to ensure that all its properties within the Borough benefit from double glazed windows.
Spirita, one of the largest providers of housing and associated support services in the East Midlands, has over 3000 properties in the Rushcliffe area alone. It has embarked on this ambitious project in order to provide greater external security and increased energy efficiency for its residents.
David Clarke, Spirita’s Director of Asset Management, said that the organisation plans to upgrade all its properties as part of a rolling programme. “It’s all part of our commitment to customer service and satisfaction,” he said. “Obviously we can’t do every resident’s property immediately, but we have made a good start and will continue to roll out the programme until we are satisfied that every one of our properties has windows and doors that both benefit the residents and increase the thermal comfort within their homes.
“The new double glazed window units provide a number of benefits. They reduce external noise pollution, increase heat retention and they are easier to maintain – and they are also attractive!
“Equally, the new doors provide increased insulation - plus they have better security features.”
